With the opening of Rebag’s newest location in the Design District, it was only fitting that the outdoor courtyard sport an amazing mural. Rebag requested the piece be done by none other than the queen herself, Andrea von Bujdoss.
Andrea von Bujdoss, also known as Queen Andrea, is well-known for her “super fresh” and larger than life murals. Bright, neon colors dominate her typographic and geometric designs, drawing the eyes of all passersby. The native New Yorker’s prolific portfolio includes murals in iconic destinations from Wynwood Walls in Miami, to the Houston Bowery Wall in New York. Most recently, Andrea designed a mural for Rebag’s Miami flagship, befitting of the local Design District surroundings and the city’s attraction to all art colorful and vibrant.
Queen Andrea’s work of art celebrates Rebag’s arrival to the Magic City. She drew inspiration from exotic skins and textures like croc, ostrich, and python, as well as handles and buckles, and of course, Rebag yellow.
I think what makes my style unique is that it's always changing. I'm confident enough to try new trends and play around with new styles when I feel like it. I don't categorize my style as one way or another. I can dress classic and minimally one day, and then totally switch it up and wear something loud and crazy the next. I like to have fun with what I wear.
The mural was unveiled on the evening of the flagship’s grand opening event, co-hosted by Larsa Pippen. Guests gathered in the courtyard to admire the space.
