If accessorizing is an art form, then Gergana Ivanova would be
considered an expert. Also known as @fashionismyfortee, her name says it all. Gergana’s feed is filled with images of effortlessly-cool outfits, which she ties together with a keen eye and the perfect accessories. Since fashion really is her forte, we asked Gergana to curate a collection of her favorite Rebag accessories and talk us through the art of accessorizing.
What are some of your favorite ways to accessorize an outfit?
Gergana: A timeless bag, a good pair of earrings, and a classic watch. I’ve tried to incorporate a lot of vintage pieces into my wardrobe. Styles that are ageless but will forever stay modern in a way. I absolutely love vintage and second-hand. It’s better for the planet and better for your wallet. I also think that there are certain pieces, like accessories, that just look so much better “worn-in.” It gives the piece more life! Plus, buying vintage allows you to have items that everyone else around you might not have.
What is your #1 go-to accessory, and what is your most cherished accessory?
Gergana: My vintage Rolex watch. I don’t leave the house without it. I could be wearing the most simple outfit, but my Rolex completes the look. It’s Jubilee with a white face, so it matches everything I own! This watch has been through so much, and I have so many memories with it; it’s my favorite.
Do you think less is more when it comes to accessorizing or are you all about maximizing a look?
Gergana: It depends on my mood! Sometimes I feel like I want to wear all of the jewelry I own at once… and other times, I like to just wear my classic watch, a pair of earrings, my favorite staple bag, and call it a day. I think the beauty of fashion is that there’s really no right or wrong. If you love it and it makes you radiate confidence when you’re walking down the street, then by all means, DO IT.
What are your three favorite items from your shopping edit, and why?
- This Louis Vuitton Travel Bag is a fave of mine! I have a vintage one sitting in my closet right now. It’s great for when you don’t want to bring a carry-on suitcase, but you have more items than will fit in a purse!
- I think a classic black Chanel bag is a staple investment in any woman’s closet. Timeless, versatile, and I love the look of something vintage. It has history and memories associated with it, which makes it that much more special.
- The Cartier Panthere Watch is a classic piece. I mean how gorgeous! The two-tone band is perfect because it’s versatile and will match all of your other jewelry as well as anything in your closet!
