Where to eat,
stay, and play
in Milan.
Fall/Winter 2022 Fashion Month just landed in Milan. Whether you’ll be in town for the shows or have an upcoming Milan trip on the horizon, turn to Rebag’s guide for where to eat, stay, and play — and the luxury handbags, accessories, and jewelry to bring along.
Where to Stay: Room Mate Giulia
Located mere steps from The Galleria, quite possibly the world’s most beautiful mall, as well as the Duomo, Room Mate Giulia is a centrally-located boutique design hotel. Designed by Patricia Urquiola of Studio Urquiola, this stylish hotel features ultra-cool interiors in vibrant jewel tones. Walk through the lobby with a Bottega Veneta suitcase in tow and a Prada Galleria — the bag was named after the mall — bag in your hand.
Where to Eat: Il Salumaio di Montenapoleone
If you want to check out the Milan fashion scene, head to the stylish Il Salumaio di Montenapoleone, the destination for fashion professionals, models, and editors since 1957. Sit in the restaurant’s stunning courtyard and eat traditional Italian dishes like branzino and beef carpaccio while soaking in its fashionable clientele. Carry a Fendi First in eye-catching python and complete the look with an elegant Ferragamo belt.
What to See: Fondazione Prada
Head to OMA-designed Fondaziane Prada to see awe-inspiring exhibitions, like the Domenico Gnoli retrospective featuring over 100 works by the late Italian artist, like his detailed paintings of high heels and hair, on view through the end of February. There’s also an upcoming Elmgreen & Dragset exhibition — they’re the duo behind the famed Prada Marfa sculpture in Texas — opening on March 31. Go bold and show your design savvy with a Bvlgari B.Zero1 ring designed by the late starchitect Zaha Hadid, and complete the look with the insitution’s namesake in the form of a Prada Re-Edition 2005 shoulder bag and Miu Miu pouch.
